How to show Windows version in Desktop, Windows 10

Displaying Windows version on the desktop of Windows 10.

Usually, if we want to see the Windows version by going to the File explorer, right-click on This PC then select Properties, it will display information of the computer, including information about the Windows version installed.

Other than that way, we can also display the version of installed Windows on the desktop.
Same as in previous windows, Windows 8 and 7, Windows 10 can also displaying the version, build and release on the desktop, located  at the bottom right of the screen.





To display the Windows version on the desktop screen:

1. Press Windows+R (displaying Run command), then type regedit in column, then click OK or press Enter. 
Regedit (Registry Editor) window will appears.

2. In the Regedit window,  navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Control Panel> Desktop.



3. In the right window, select and double click on the PaintDesktopVersion
4. Then change the value data from 0 to 1, then click OK.
 




Go to desktop and refresh it by right clicking on empty area of the desktop then select Refresh.
Now we can see the Windows version, build and release date.
