How to set default save format in office 2016.
In this example is to set default save format to Word 97-2003 (doc).
1. In Microsoft Office 2016 page, choose/click File tab.
2. Then choose Options.
3. In Word options page, choose Save. And for Save files in this format: choose : Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc). Then click Ok.
Now, if I click Save for new document, the dialog will show that save format is already to Word 97-2003 document.
